1. What can I do with Dekoh Books?
Dekoh Books is a personal book cataloging software that runs on your computer. Now you can catalog all of your book titles, add comments and tags, browse and search, create wishlists and favorites, and share your catalog (or parts of it) with your friends. Dekoh Books integrates seamlessly with Amazon.com, so you can use the data that's already out there to categorize your books. It's like having a personal librarian.

3. Is Dekoh Books free?
Dekoh Books is completely free. There are no limits on how many books you can manage or share, and there are no premium accounts with fees.
4. How do I organize my collection?
The first step is to add your books. You can manually add the titles, authors, and descriptions, but it's faster to use search-and-add, which searches Amazon.com first, by keyword, author, title, or ISBN. Then it's just one click to add the book. At that time, you'll be asked to choose a Collection, so you can add each book to an existing Collection or create new Collections as you see fit. Once you've added all your books, click “Organize My Books” to move books into different Collections.
5. What is an ISBN number, and how do I use it?
An ISBN is a unique number, used by the publishing industry, that identifies a particular book. No two books have the same ISBN, so using the ISBN in a search is the most conclusive way to find a particular book.
6. How do Collections work?
A Collection is a virtual bookshelf. You can place all of your books into a single Collection or build a hierarchical set of Collections using distinctions that make sense to you. For example, you can classify books into Fiction, and within Fiction into Fiction/Children's, Fiction/Historical, and Fiction/Science. Or you can classify Collections by the books' location in your home: Office Shelves, Coffee Table, etc. Note that a book can only be in one Collection at a time.
7. How do I navigate between Collections?
To see your entire collection, click MyBooks. You can open particular Collections by clicking on them. Breadcrumbs at the top of the window let you know where you are when you’re deep inside nested collections. For example, when you see: All > Fiction > Science, you are in the Science Collection, within the Fiction Collection, which is within your general book Collection. Each of the breadcrumbs is a clickable link and takes you to that particular Collection.
8. What is tagging? And why should I tag?
A tag is a word or phrase, like a keyword, that you associate with a particular book or Collection. Tags provide an easy way to classify and quickly recall items that have something in common. To help you with tags, we show you the tags that Amazon users have used on a particular book, and you can choose from this list and add your own. Dekoh Books also provides a Tag Cloud, which shows you what tags are currently in use in your Collection, and which are used more than others. (The more a tag appears in your Collection, the larger its font in the cloud will appear.)
9. How do I share my book catalogue with others?
You can share your entire catalog, a single Collection, or any select book listings with the friends of your choice. First click “Share Books.” Select the titles or Collections from the left panel, and move them to the central share panel. Then choose the people you want to share with from the right panel, and move them to the central share panel. Finally, enter a name for the share, and click "Done."
10. How do I invite people to see what I have shared?
When you share, Dekoh automatically sends the friends you shared with an email invitation. It also sends them a login password, unless they already have a Dekoh ID.
11. Can I extend a share by adding more books or people?
Yes. Just select an existing share, and add either more content or more friends.
12. Can my friends comment on my books?
Friends in a share can comment on your books and Collections, and you can reply to them.
13. Can my friends access anything on my desktop that I haven't shared?
No. Your friends will see exactly what you shared with them and nothing more.
14. If I haven't shared with someone, can they access my stuff?
If you shared nothing with a person, then they can't see anything of yours. Dekoh Network won't let them log in to your Dekoh Books. It's completely secure and private.
